Four runners are taking on the New York City Marathon next weekend in honor of The Kelsey. These champions for inclusive housing have raised over $20,000 (and counting!) with their fundraising efforts in support of The Kelsey. Help them reach their $25,000 goal! On November 6th, we’ll be in NYC to cheer on Nick, Max, India, and Kira. Each has a personal reason for running the marathon and for supporting the work of The Kelsey.

Those running on behalf of The Kelsey include:

Nick Gambal, a light-skinned man, is pictured running on a brick path.
  • Nick Gambal, who is running his first (and hopefully not last!) marathon on behalf of The Kelsey. He could not be more excited to be running alongside three other amazing members of The Kelsey’s marathon team to help raise awareness about disability-forward housing solutions.
Max Zeger, a light-skinned male with dark hair, is pictured wearing a blue, button down shirt.
  • Max Zeger, who lives in NYC and works for a climate-focused investment fund. NYC will be his third marathon, and he is proud to support The Kelsey and housing affordability.
India Dunn, a light-skinned woman, is pictured wearing a dark shirt and running shorts. Trees with colorful leaves are visible in the background.
  • India Dunn, who is running her first marathon. Having spent a lot of time in San Francisco over the past year, she has witnessed the importance of affordable housing solutions firsthand. She studied the impact of the built environment on forming lasting communities through her undergraduate studies in the History of Architecture and Art.
Kira Tsougarakis, a light-skinned woman wearing dark running gear, is pictured running along with other runners.
  • Kira Tsougarakis, who is a third-year law student in DC and running her first marathon. She chose to run for The Kelsey because she believes in contributing to a more equitable world, and The Kelsey operates in pursuit of that mission.

We greatly appreciate the efforts of these runners to raise funds and awareness for The Kelsey and its mission with their participation in the New York City Marathon.
