Fatimah Aure is The Kelsey’s Director of Field & Capacity Building. She leads The Kelsey’s efforts to grow the field of leaders, advocates, and champions of disability-forward housing solutions, including The Kelsey’s growing coalition of design and architecture firms that have committed to implementing The Kelsey’s Inclusive Design Standards in new projects.
Fatimah uses a cane for balance and coordination stemming from a neurological movement condition. She was born and raised in San Francisco and is now an Oakland resident with her husband, Seth, and dog, Duke Ellington. She holds a BA in Communications from Northwestern University and a Masters of Public Policy from UC Berkeley.
