She believes that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued, and she is committed to using her skills and experience to create a more just and inclusive society. What part of The Kelsey’s mission are you proudest to be part of / support?

I’m proudest to be a part of the “Radically Inclusive” aspect of The Kelsey’s mission. This value resonates deeply, as it emphasizes creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and supported, regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or identities. By fostering a culture of inclusivity, The Kelsey promotes a sense of belonging, which is essential for building strong, resilient communities.

What does it mean to you to be Disability-Forward? Why does it matter?

To me “Disability-Forward” represents a society where disability is normalized and valued. It’s a world where people with disabilities, whether physical or intellectual, are prioritized and included in every aspect of life. This means that their needs and perspectives are considered and integrated into the design and decision-making process of housing, mental health services, education and employment, creating accessible, affordable, inclusive, supportive and empowering environments that foster innovation, creativity and progress.
