First Certified Project: 8 Partridge Street/Midway Village Phase 2

We’re excited to congratulate David Baker Architects and MidPen Housing for being the first team to certify a project using the Inclusive Design Standards. 8 Partridge Street/Midway Village Phase 2 has officially certified Gold!

This project is the second phase in the Midway Village Master Plan, a new affordable housing community in Daly City, California. Phase 2 will include 113 units of multi-generational, inclusive housing, featuring affordable homes for seniors and families, an on-site childcare center, and proximity to a public park.

A portion of the homes will serve clients of the San Mateo County Health Department’s High Healthcare User (HHC) program, supporting individuals with ongoing medical needs, including people who formerly experienced homelessness. Care managers and existing program clients also participated in the design process through focus groups, ensuring the project reflects community needs and lived experiences.

The community is projected to open in 2026.
