Our Narrative Change Cohort stories are here! Over the past year, disabled leaders from across the country have been writing, workshopping, and exploring how storytelling can reshape the way we think about disability and housing. These powerful stories challenge exclusionary and ableist narratives by sharing real experiences of navigating housing in the U.S.

Facilitated by staff with lived experience, the Disability & Housing Narrative Change Cohort provided a platform for disabled leaders to share their housing stories and insights. Through a year-long virtual program, members took action to influence media, policy, and community programs. With guidance from narrative change experts and the support of their peers, they honed their skills in strategic storytelling, media engagement, and disability-forward housing advocacy.

Building a future where everyone has access to affordable, accessible, and inclusive housing starts with amplifying the voices of people with disabilities. This cohort continues to challenge exclusionary, ableist narratives and highlight the urgent need for inclusive housing—and the policies that make it possible.
