About The Event
The issues around transit-oriented development — parking, traffic, public transit, and pedestrian-friendly communities — have come up in all of our community conversations to date. As promised, we have dedicated a community meeting to this topic. We recognize that many issues related to transit and parking are bigger than The Kelsey Ayer Station; they existed before we became part of this community and they will not be issues we can or will address directly. However, we have heard repeatedly that neighbors want more information about these community issues, and an opportunity to raise them to and be heard by the appropriate individuals or departments.
That’s why, in addition to sharing project details, we are bringing in other organizations to join the conversation. The meeting will begin with a presentation of The Kelsey Ayer Station parking and transit plan. Afterward, we have convened a panel to discuss broader neighborhood issues related to transit and parking. There will be representatives from DOT, District 3, and VTA. There will be opportunities for Q+A after initial presentations. For specific questions about this meeting, please contact Lindsay at lindsay@thekelsey.org
