Join us for State and Local Strategies to Expand Inclusive Housing for People with Disabilities. Across the country, local and state leaders play a critical role in shaping policies and practices that increase the supply of accessible, affordable, and inclusive housing for people with disabilities. Join us for ‘State and Local Strategies to Expand Inclusive Housing for People with Disabilities,’ a 90-minute conversation on proven strategies and policy tools that drive inclusive housing development and robust tenant protections.

Speakers will share how state Qualified Allocation Plans (QAPs) can prioritize accessibility and inclusion, strategies for partnering and advocating with Public Housing Authorities, and how zoning and land use changes can increase access to homes near transit and community resources. We’ll also highlight local policies that strengthen tenant protections and stability for disabled renters.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to influence the housing policies that shape our communities and leave with concrete ideas to advance change at the local and state levels. Whether you are a person with a disability, a housing advocate, or an ally, you’ll come away with tools to help make housing accessible and inclusive for all, despite ongoing challenges at the federal level.

ASL interpretation and live captioning will be available.
