Expanding Accessibility in Affordable Housing: For Property Managers and Developers

The Kelsey is committed to fostering accessibility in affordable housing by sharing open-source Plain Language Leasing documents for developers and property managers to use. We also know that individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DDs) often face challenges when understanding complex lease agreements, which can impede their ability to secure and maintain housing. Simultaneously, government housing programs, developers, and property managers encounter difficulties in addressing these issues while ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations. By simplifying rental information, The Kelsey aims to empower I/DD individuals, their families, service providers, developers, and property managers to advocate for housing rights more effectively.
