Expanding Accessibility in Affordable Housing: For Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Many people struggle with understanding complex lease documents, which makes it challenging to secure and maintain housing. They may feel hesitant to discuss issues related to literacy, disability accommodations, or living conditions with their landlords. We believe that by simplifying these documents, through Plain Language, it empowers individuals with I/DDs, their families, and support systems to navigate affordable housing processes and advocate for housing rights more effectively.
