About the Event

Like us, you are probably feeling the impacts of California’s growing housing crisis. And like us, you want to make sure that the housing built in your local neighborhood is affordable, inclusive, and accessible to all – including Californians with disabilities.

Did you know that the State of California created a new unit within the  Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) that will help enforce state housing laws and regulations? This Affordable Housing Month, join The Kelsey, Disability Rights California (DRC), Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund (DREDF), Justice in Aging, SV@Home, Housing Choices, and California Foundation of Independent Living Centers (CFILC) DOnetwork and connect with HCD’s new Housing Accountability Unit. You will learn more about how YOU can help hold your local jurisdiction accountable for inclusive, affordable, and accessible housing!
