About the Event
In order to ensure meaningful development, design, and engagement of The Kelsey Civic Center, we must hear from YOU. All people are welcome to attend, we specifically encourage those who currently or have recently worked and/or lived in Civic Center, Western Addition, SOMA, and Tenderloin neighborhoods.
About The Kelsey Civic Center
Across from City Hall, The Kelsey Civic Center will be a vibrant urban community offering 100+ homes for San Franciscans of diverse abilities, incomes, and backgrounds. Driven by disability inclusion and committed to racial equity, The Kelsey Civic Center seeks a development process that listens to and partners with future residents and current neighbors of the adjacent neighborhoods. Estimated move-in date for future residents: 2024.
Key Features
Affordability: Homes for a range of incomes, from extremely low income (paying less than $500/month rent) to middle-income housing
Accessibility: 25% reserved for people with disabilities. The entire building is universally designed and adaptive.
Inclusivity: Inclusion Concierge to connect residents, the community, and supports
Sustainability: C40 Global demonstration project for a resilient, healthy, environmentally-friendly future

The Kelsey, a disability-forward organization that develops and advocates for accessible, affordable, and inclusive housing for people with and without disabilities, of all backgrounds and income levels.
Mercy Housing California, a California-based, nonprofit housing development organization with the mission of creating and strengthening healthy communities.
